This design is based off a traditional Maori Kowhaiwha pattern. These decorative patterns are used for enhancing a story, usually found on the rafters of the Maori meeting houses. The pattern I have used (Patiki ) is a symbol of hospitality, and the wording (Whakamanuhiri ) means \'to entertain as a guest, be welcoming and hospitable\'. The traditional colours of Black Red and White are always used for these type of patterns.

I'm Davina, a 27 year old women from New Zealand currently living in Australia with my 3 year old son, husband and any day now my new born baby. I have been doing Graphic Design since 2005, and Web Design and Development since 2010. In these past 8 years I have been a mix of a full time worker, stay at home mum, a student and a self employed freelancer. I draw inspiration from my beautiful surroundings and the loved ones in my life.
